With Spruce, you can set up as many mailboxes as you want to keep your electronic mail life organized.
Most of Spruce's heavy lifting is done in local mailboxes in the .spruce subdirectory of your home directory. There, by default, you'll find an Inbox, Drafts, Outbox, Sent items and Deleted items. You can also create custom mailboxes to match your needs.
To create a new Spruce mailbox, go to the Mailboxes->Create menu item. It'll open up the Add Mailbox dialog box.
Check the Spruce Spool radio button, type in the name of the new Mailbox in the text box and click on OK and you're set.
You can also create a Local Spool Mailbox in the same way you created a Spruce mailbox. The only difference is that you need to check the Local spool radio button. By default, Spruce puts this in the .spruce directory, but you can put it somewhere else if you want by typing in the full path name. For example: /var/spool/mail/newmailboxname.
